Grant Wetterau is a 2016 2B/OF, RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Medford, NJ who attends Shawnee. Medium athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength through build. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out with short steps to the ball, lower arm slot, will occasionally get under throws, short arm action and shows ability to throw from multiple slots. Also pitched, works from a three-quarter arm slot with a short and quick arm action coming through the back side. Topped at 76 mph and mixed in an 11-5 curveball at 63 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with hands pulled back and a lower set with an upright stance. Aggressive approach in the box, creates some whip with the barrel when on time and shows a feel for the barrel with nice bat speed. Line drive contact with occasional lift at impact, has the feel to go with the outside pitch and drive to opposite field. Very good student.
