Ross Goldschlag is a 2019 RHP/ with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Encinitas, CA who attends La Costa Canyon. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step to medium leg lift. Stays balanced on back side at gather and works to the plate slight drop and drive actions. Tends to lands at a slightly closed position while striding to the plate. Deep arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball came out of hand well generating some downhill plane through the zone with run to arm side, topped at 81 miles per hour. Curveball had proper shape with good depth when staying on top of offering. Also flashed a changeup that had good fading action to arm side in the low 70's. Consistently worked ahead of hitters with good feel to each edge of the plate. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
