Emilio Luna is a 2019 SS/OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Castle Park. Young, athletic frame and build with wiry strength at present and good room to fill out as he physically matures. Hits from spread, bent knee stance while being slightly open with front hip. Shows good overall approach to hitting with quality command of the strike zone. Hands work well in the swing with quickness and direct path; makes consistent contact to the opposite field. Strength gains will allow him to drive the ball more effectively in the future. Showed good actions defensively, moving side to side well with solid footwork and projectable actions overall. Stays balanced and fields cleanly, makes accurate throws over to 1B with developing arm strength, topping at 69 MPH. Ran a 7.38 second 60 yard dash time. Very good student.
