Ethan Klein is a 2017 RHP with a 6-1 193 lb. frame from Hyde Park, NY who attends Franklin D Roosevelt Senior. Large, athletic frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.73 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, works with a short arm action through the backside and works to a low three-quarters arm slot. Shows balance to delivery and able to repeat, creates sinking and heavy life to the bottom of the zone on fastball, topped out at 76 mph and threw strikes throughout the zone. Showed a feel for both a curveball and slider, curveball shows depth and throws it for strikes, slider shows tighter shape with sharp break. Changeup generates fading life to the arm side. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Simple swing mechanics in the box with a short swing path to the ball. Uses physical strength to generate bat speed, moving parts to timing and loads, shows strength when balanced and ability to drive the ball to either gap when squared off the barrel. Very good student.
