Luke Sleeper is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Haslett, MI who attends Haslett. Long, lean build with broad shoulders, long limbs and plenty of room to fill out with additional strength. Full hands over head delivery out of the windup, can spin over frontside at release point at times. Compact arm-action, works to a high 3/4's arm slot, has solid armspeed. Creates solid downhill plane on fastball that topped out at 83 mph, pitch had slight arm side run, showed ability to throw strikes. Developing feel for curveball, flashes good 12/6 shape and tight rotation. Also throws an occasional changeup. Left handed hitter, wide base with even setup. Sweepy barrel path, has some developing feel for the barrel, creates extension and can square the baseball to the pullside. Outstanding student.
