Matt Pulliam is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Olive Branch, MS who attends Olive Branch HS. Lean build with long limbs, wiry present strength. Lots of room to project further strength and muscle on long, tall frame. Primary left handed pitcher, smooth and repeatable delivery, varies his arm slots at times, but typically works to an extended 3/4's arm slot. Front side can open early at times, works slightly crossfire, has some deception and works fastball up to 79 mph. Also mixes in a curveball with 1-7 shape, good depth on the offering and a changeup with some finish below the knees and tailing action. Solid defender at first base, good footwork and body control, can work through the ball a bit more aggressively. Arm works well across the diamond. Switch hitter, same wide base, spread stance from either side of plate. Shows some ability to work the entire field, sprays the ball all over the field. Can work a bit uphill at times, but has short, quick swing. Tremendous student.
