Eric Kimsey is a 2016 RHP/3B/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from University Park, FL who attends Braden River HS. Tall and angular pit,cher's build, lots of room to fill out. Extremely long stride out front in his delivery with a big back side collapse, has strong legs to maintain delivery mechanics, long arm action with an extended high 3/4's release, some energy on release. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, gets good cutting action at times that can be further developed. Showed a nice change up that he could throw more often, curveball has big 12/6 downer depth at times. Kept the ball down in the strike zone and pitched to contact. Right handed hitter, long rotational swing, has some strength at contact when everything is timed well, best contact was to the opposite field, showed a good feel for the barrel and making contact. Excellent student.
