Nick Andrews is a 6' 185 pound 2007 catcher and outfielder from Martinez, California who attends De LaSalle High School. He is a strong well proportioned athletic catcher built to handle the rigors of playing behind the plate. He has the frame to hold more weight and still hold his tools. Nick has a good solid arm throwing 71 mph from the catcher positions with a 2.01 pop time. He likes to throw behind runners and shows lots of confidence. He can take charge of the game with his good body language on the field. He is a middle line up bat with a tough makeup and style of play. He has a long stroke and uses a wide base and simple approach. Andrews uses all fields well and makes solid contact. He will not take failure for an answer and will get the most of his abilities as well as be a leader on any club. Nick is a very good student and will generate interest on all levels.
