Chris Rabichaud is a 2008 OF from Santana HS, residing in Santee, CA, with a 5'7" 145 lb. frame. He has a compact build that looks more like a MIF body than an OF. A right handed hitter, Rabichaud hits from a square stance. He has decent balance during his swing and he worked to stay inside the ball during the games. In general his top hand is pretty strong during his swing, which is an adjustment for him to make. He has a chance to be a contact type hitter, the type to move the ball and fit within an offense. His power potential is limited to spraying line drives. On defense Rabichaud is an aggressive player. The ball exits his hand pretty well from his long arm action. There is more carry on his ball than his raw arm strength may suggest due to him getting to good extension, which also allowed him to be an accurate thrower. Overall Rabichaud is an aggressive young baseball player and is likely to maximize his abilities during his college career. He will bring hustle and a gamer type attitude to a small college team.
