Zac Deegan is a 2017 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Newtown, PA who attends Notre Dame. Medium frame with an athletic build. Solid body projection with promise of additional size with strength. Right handed hitter tall, balanced stance. Hands and top half load to a coiled and launch on a quick, compact path to contact. Shows present bat speed with quiet, repeatable mechanics. Throws hands to baseball very well with a mid-field approach. Hand quickness and barrel control allow for contact to all fields. Solid plate presence, hitting tools project well. Worked out defensively from the infield showing a smooth tempo arm action and quick release. Smooth glove actions while surrounding the baseball and generates solid momentum into throws. Clean release across the infield with on line carry. Athletic actions to both sides with range with clean fundamentals on slow rollers. Tools should continue to develop with physical maturity. Also ran a 7.10 sixty-yard dash. Very godd student as well.
