Chris Lewis is a 2008 LHP/1B/OF with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Ennis, TX, who attends Ennis HS. Named to the Top Prospect Team at this event. Lewis has a medium frame with present strength. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm and good arm speed. Lewis throws across his body, but stays balanced throughout his sound delivery. Lewis throws strikes with all three pitches with solid secondary pitches. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with arm side life, and mixes in a 68 mph curveball and a 68 mph changeup. Lewis competes on the mound, and struck out 5 in 3 innings. At the plate he has good bat speed with projectable power. Lewis has a quiet approach and stays on the ball well using the whole field. Defensively he moves well at both the OF and 1B. He made some great plays in game action. He hustles and plays hard with good baseball instincts. Lewis is a legitimate two-way prospect with upside, and he is a good student as well.
