Ryan Jimerson is a 2017 LHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral HS. Medium-large frame with slender, athletic present build; body projects very well moving forward. Primary left-handed pitcher, pitches exclusively from the stretch, slower-paced delivery with good balance. Leans way back towards 2B over rubber, loads into drop-and-drive delivery and uses lower half well in drive to the plate. Does a good job creating angle to the plate from extended three quarters slot, fastball worked in the 73-78 MPH range with occasional sinking life to the arm side. Lands closed off and creates crossfire. Showed quality straight changeup with good deception and arm speed; also mixed in good curveball with 1/7 shape and quality depth when spun correctly. Did a good job of mixing and matching pitches with good raw feel for how to pitch effectively. Good student.
