He has solid defensive actions on the infield and shows some instincts. Holtz makes online throws and has some arm strength. He has sound transfers and showed some defensive tools. At the plate, he starts with an upright stance and maintains balance through his swing. He gets use from his lower half and generates some bat speed. Holtz swings on a line drive path and showed gap to gap pop. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action with some arm speed. He repeats his delivery and works quick. Good student.
