Chaney Rogers is a 2017 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-1 199 lb. frame from Ringgold, GA who attends Gordon Lee HS. Strong athletic build. 6.85 runner, clean and smooth fielding actions at first base, has soft hands and picks the ball well, fields out front, very good arm strength for first base. Has all the physical tools to play in the outfield defensively along with being a plus defensive first baseman. Left handed hitter, high hand start, line drive swing approach, inside hand path and will get too inside at times, works middle of the field to the pull side, has some strength in his swing at trimes. Good athlete who should keep improving. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia.
