Will Hodges is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Guyton, GA who attends Effingham County HS. Medium athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. 6.97 runner, played very well defensively in games, showed range in centerfield and a strong arm from right field, accurate throws with carry. Right handed hitter, busy hand hitch load, swings hard looking to pull and lift, creates bat speed with some leverage and lift, tends to lean back and stay on his back side, has hitting tools that will improve with a more balanced and level approach. Also pitched, varied release between high 3/4's and Laredo below side arm release points. Fastball to 83 mph, fair curveball depth, threw both pitches from both release points to the middle of the plate. Nice young athlete with tools and projection, will improve with adjustments.
