Joseph Lansford is a 2013 1B/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Lufkin, TX who attends Pollock Central HS. Big strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, creates good bat speed with his strength, swings up to the ball and flashes lift, lacks ideal balance and direction in his swing but handles the barrel very well and squares up consistently, can pull the ball but also hit balls hard to left centerfield, has the hitting tools to improve with a more stable and consistent approach. 7.17 runner, moves well around the first base bag and shows athleticism, playable arm strength, makes accurate throws. Good student.
