Troy Cantu is a 2014 MIF/OF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Gilberts, IL who attends Huntley HS. Smaller build, minimal present strength. 7.47 runner, second base tools and actions, good hands with a quick transfer and release, good footwork at the ball, has a quick first step and some lateral range, playable arm strength for second. Right handed hitter, open stance, high hands, busy load and swing approach, line drive contact oriented swing, tries to stay short and hit ball where it's pitched, handles the barrel well and squares up. Should keep improving as he gets stronger.
