Ben Ramirez is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Eastlake HS. Long and lanky athletic build, lots of room to add strength, especially in his lower half. Loose and smooth athletic actions in all regards, projects very well physically. 6.89 runner, light on his feet on defense, third base profile especially as he fills out, compact arm action with good carry to his throws, stays balanced working through the ball. Left handed hitter, open stance, gets coiled in his load, tension free swing, gets out to his front side, fluid swing with good bat speed that is just going to improve. Interesting young athlete to dream on. Good student, verbal commitment to Southern California. Selected for the PG All-American Classic.
