2005 Unsigned Seniors Showcase
Zupan is a 5-11 left handed pitcher from Connecticut who was one of the better and most college ready prospects at the showcase. He has an athletic body and a loose, quick arm stroke. Zupan’s mechanics are solid and he repeats them well and commands the strike zone while working quickly. He topped out at 84 mph on his fastball and showed good life on the pitch. Both Zupan’s secondary pitches were solid, too. He threw a 71-73 mph slider and a change up he varied from 69-74 mph. This young man still has some physical projection to him and should continue to improve. We expect to see him pitching well at the college level in the future. Zupan is a strong student as well. Good college lefty who knows how to pitch and projects.
