Zach Kayne is a 5'9" switch hitting middle infielder from Roswell, GA with a good game. Along with his tools, Kayne really impressed us with his attitude and style of play. This young man is a hustler who plays all out, all the time. Defensively, Kayne has a strong arm from shortstop with good carry on his throws. His feet and hands work well and he maintains good balance. He surprised us a bit with his bat, especially from the right side. He drove the ball hard right handed and showed some real good bat speed with a nice level swing right handed. From the left side Kayne felt for the ball and didn’t have the same type of bat speed. Kayne has a young face and young features and should gain some strength in the future as well. He's very interesting! Zach is an outstanding student.
