Ricky Contreras is a 2014 RHP/SS with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock Christian HS. Contreras has a lean build. Uses a full wind up delivery, has a loose arm action with good arm speed to a high 3/4 arm slot. Uses four pitches effectively, fastball is straight. Slider had hard spin and bite. Showed a softer spinning curveball with good downer action. Change up has good sink and run. Very fast worker and threw strikes with all four pitches. Signed at Howard Junior College. Outstanding Student.
