William Faulkner is a 2006 middle infielder/catcher from Blissfield, Michigan, with a medium build that shows strength at 6'0", 165 pounds. He hits from a wide stance with little or no stride, and a good hand load. He shows good balance throughout the swing, and he has an aggressive attack approach to hitting. He has a line drive swing plane with good bat speed, and he showed good gap to gap ability. He makes solid contact to all fields and has the potential to hit for big power. He showed good athleticism with a 7.03 in the 60, and a 4.34 home to 1st. He has excellent defensive skills and moves well in all directions. He has good actions with a quick release and made accurate throws. He is a tough competitor, and will add strength to his projectable body as he matures he will be a top level prospect for 2006.
