2004 National Underclass Dec 28-30
Ragland is a 5-9 junior outfielder from Indiana with good present physical strength, especially in his shoulders and upper body. He hits from a no stride approach with little weight shift but his strength enables him to develop some bat speed with wood. He’d improve by getting better rhythm into and through the ball. Ragland’s drill times and velocities were average, but he showed better arm strength and speed during games. He made several accurate and strong throws showing college level throwing ability and ran the bases aggressively and well. Ragland did struggle with some of his routes in the outfield but he probably hasn’t seen too many fly balls off the bat with bright blue sky’s in Indiana for a couple of months. Ragland is also a very good student.
