Adkins is a high caliber pitcher with a very good arm. He showed Major League velocity with his 88-90 mph fastball. Ironically nothing came off a bat except kindling from the 3 that he snapped. Even out of the stretch he showed 88-90 mph gas. He also showed a good working curve that maintained 73-74 mph velocity. He proved that he doesn't fear pitching inside. His arm works free and loose with good mechanics. His 6'3/180 body is very well-suited for more growth and development which projects in a big way. Who knows how hard he might end up throwing. He is a top prospect not just because of a good arm but because he can pitch. Could end up being a very good draft. Can pitch at any college in America. Tyler is a very good student.
