Jaylon Keys is a 2014 OF/SS/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Bay Springs, MS who attends Northeast Jones HS. Slender young build, lots of room to fill out. Right handed hitter, gets to front side early, swings hard and has quick hands, barrel tends to drag due to early shift, ball has some jump, long drive mid field contact, has some tools to develop as a hitter. 6.91 runner, shows nice range in the outfield, lots of arm strength, throws carry well, charges the ball hard, tools for centerfield. Also plays infield, shows his athleticism and has some flair to his actions, bit of a long strider but has good hands and balance. Also pitched, effort delivery, 3/4's compact arm action, tends to pitch arm side. Fastball topped at 84 mph, more velocity in there with delivery adjustments, gets hard spin on slurve type breaking ball.
