2005 Sunshine West Showcase
Travis Anderson is a 2006 OF/C from Albuquerque, NM, with a 6'1", 180 lb. frame. Defensively Anderson has solid arm strength (74 mph), and good lateral movement and blocking skills. At the plate, he is a right handed hitter with an upright stance and a high back elbow. Anderson shows very good bat speed with good rotation in his swing. There is strength in his swing and Anderson shows present raw power that is projectable. He sometimes gets his weight out on his front foot early, but when he stays back he hits the ball with authority. Anderson hit several balls hard during batting practice and the showcase games, including a triple in the final game. Anderson has the hitting ability to make it to the next level and should be followed.
