Latest Showcase Report
2005 Sunshine East Showcase   Jun 11, 2005
PG Grade: 8.5
Cross is a 6-1, 185 lb senior outfielder from Michigan with solid overall tools. He's a very good runner at 6.85 and covered lots of ground in centerfield during the showcase games. Cross threw 78 mph during outfield drills but threw the ball better than that in games as well. He was one of the better defensive outfielders at the showcase overall. Cross is a good looking young hitting with good bat speed and a mature approach at the plate. He showed the ability to make adjustments at the plate and to drive low pitches hard to all fields. The ball jumps off his bat very well and he makes consistent hard line drive contact. Cross is also an excellent student with elite level grades. He's one of the better position prospects we've seen out of the far Northern Tier states this summer and his talent along with his grades should make him a much sought after recruit.
