Jacob Mintz is a 2013 MIF/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Chevy Chase, MD who attends Charles E Smith Jewish Day School. Medium, athletic frame with room to add strength. Developing skills on the infield. Body movements are solid, doesn't field thru the ball. Arm action is short with minimal extension. Aggressive at the plate with a short, quick load. Inside out swing, lets the ball travel, line drive contact. Good extension with bat speed. Pitches from low 3/4 slot. Whippy arm action in back. Loose arm, projects for more velocity. 1/7 slider showed solid shape. Excellent student.
