Aaron McGarity is a 2013 RHP/OF with a 6-2 168 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends Mills Godwin HS. Young slender build, lots of physical projection left. Easy low effort well paced delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, throws downhill with fastball. Steady upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, very nice consistent running action on fastball, missing arm side frequently due to size of run. Curveball gets hard spin at 75 mph from high 3/4's slot, tends to drop release point frequently, tends to slow body on change up but gets good life. Maintaining consistent release is key, has the pitches and the projection to really keep improving. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia Tech.
