Wade Hopper is a 2014 1B/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Rock Hill, SC who attends South Pointe. Has a large projectable frame with a strong build. Good footwork around the bag with good mechanics. Has soft hands with a good glove and an accurate arm across the infield. Has a wide base stance sitting low to start. Is short to the ball with quick hands, has a good aggressive swing with lift to it and a power approach. Has good bat speed with pop in his bat, makes hard contact at the plate with good weight transfer and his to all fields. Is an interesting prospect to follow and is an exceptional student.
