PG Grade: 10
Shane Funk is a very large 6'6/225 RHP from Panama City Beach, FL. Funk looks like a big league pitcher and his stuff resembles what you find on the Tropicana Field mound when the Devil Rays are in town. Funk’s 89-92 mph fastball had handcuffing sink at times and his mid 70’s curveball was sharp and big. Funk also looks like he’s got a strong competitive streak in him. He does tend to give away his Change Up, but that's a minor detail. He dominated some of the best hitters in the country at Tropicana Field. Shane is not the worlds greatest athlete, but he has a world class arm and body. Shane is a very good student. He was selected to the AFLAC All American Team.
