Andrew Miller is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Stratford, NJ who attends Sterling HS. Nice athletic build, long and projectable with some present strength. Balanced delivery, stays tall on his backside, arm works well, mid to low 3/4's arm slot creates angle to the plate, repeats his mechanics well. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, good consistent running action, primary fastball pitcher, keeps the ball low in the zone very consistently and gets ground balls, works both sides of the plate and works ahead. Short soft slider has sweeping shape, gets some fading action on a developing slider. Will need to develop secondary pitches but fastball is a quality pitch with movement, location and velocity. Good student, verbal commitment to Maryland.
