Kenneth Dalton Brown is a 2012 RHP/3B with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Ponder, TX who attends Ponder HS. Big thick physical build, very strong. Tall rotational delivery, short closed stride, high 3/4's release point, doesn't always get lower 1/2 cleared well, costing velocity and consistency. Fast arm, fastball to 92 mph with heavy sinking life at the plate, will turn over fastball at 86 mph occasionally for a different look. Varies curveball velocity between low 70's and 80 mph with same shape, best at higher velo's, still developing feel for change up. Very effective when down in zone. Shows hitting tools and raw bat speed, strong enough to hit the ball a long way, lift and pull approach, swing mechanics resemble his pitching mechanics. Good student.
