Cory Thompson is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Mauldin, SC who attends Mauldin HS. Medium athletic build, long limbs, has some present strength. 6.81 runner, athletic infield actions with outstanding arm strength, good footwork, will have to soften hands for the next level defensively. Right handed hitter, long aggressive swing, high extended finish, mid field contact, quick swing, has raw bat speed. Did not pitch this event but has been up to 93 mph with a sharp curveball in the past, grades out as a 10 as a pitcher and that currently looks to be his primary position at the next level although he does show interesting 2 way talent.
