Fontaine is a 5-9 junior middle infielder from Rhode Island who profiles best at second base. He ran the 60 in 7.93 and showed 67 mph arm strength during infield drills. Fontaine hits from a crouched stance and has some back side collapse in his swing. He’s an opposite field hitter who made some good adjustments during the second showcase game and picked up a couple of hits, including a double, to right field. More strength will help his overall game. Fontaine is a good student.
