Zach Brown is a 2013 3B/RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier. Medium build athlete with present strength. On the infield, moves well side to side and gets to balls. Skills project best to 2B and 3B. Clean hands, quick release. Arm is online and very accurate. Right handed hitter, short swing, stays inside of the ball. Strength in hands, looks to pull the ball. Keep swing mechanics compact. Line drive plane, solid pitch recognition and contact in games. On the mound, 3/4 slot, opens up front side. Shrot arm action, short stride will throws strikes. Curveball with same arm action and some feel. Very good student.
