Ben Lumsden is a 2011 RHP with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Dallas, GA who attends Hillgrove HS. Big solid athletic build, very good strength. Easy effortless delivery, ball comes out of hand well, some cross body on release, looks like more in the arm. Steady 86-88 mph fastball, maintains velo, throws heavy ball, good sinking life low, change up best secondary pitch, good arm speed and release point, slight fade at the plate, CB has good shape, consistent spin. Pitches with intent, plus command potential. Good student, verbal commitment to Mercer.
