2004 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase
Nathan Todd is a 2005 right handed pitcher/catcher from Ft. Madison, Iowa, with a 6'0", 195 lb. frame. Todd throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. His fastball topped out at 84 mph and he showed solid control. Todd throws a sweeping curveball at 73 mph with nice break. He also mixes in a 75 mph change up with good sink. He struck out 3 hitter in his 2 innings of work. Defensively as a catcher, he showed some of that arm strength and some solid pop times around 2.10. He has a good swing path and average bat speed. He could get more power with a better backside turn. Todd is projectable player with two way possibilities. Nathan is a very good student.
