Huston is a 2006 grad with a good body and potential top arm. He is a left-hander who stands at 6 feet tall and 185 pounds with a strong build and room for plenty more. He showed some 2-way ability by swinging the wood with a little pull power, but on the mound he commanded the most attention. He has a three quarters arm slot with a good working arm that produced 79-82 mph fastballs. He hides the fastball well until it is almost out of his hand and it showed good life. We saw the lively action during infield when he couldn't throw across the diamond without creating a 2 foot tail. He threw a had breaking pitch that was clocked between 71-75 mph. It showed slider movement at times and others had more downward break. It was an effective pitch and broke late. His change-up was another good one with late life and good velocity at 73 mph. He is a good young pitcher that showed a calm maturity on the hill and needs to be followed closely.
