Collin O'Brien is a 2012 LHP/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from West Bridgewater, MA who attends West Bridgewater. Big bodied pitcher with strength. Throws from 3/4 arm slot with average arm speed. Drop and drive mechanics with short arm action and good hip turn/rotation from his lower half. Short stab in back but arm comes thru clean. Consistent mid 70s velo, up to 77. Does a good job of getting on top of his 70 mph curveball with 2/8 break. Has feel for the pitch and can throw it for strikes to both sides of the plate. Right-handed hitter with a long, rotational swing. Has strength and barreled balls up consistently in batting practice. Very good student.
