Tate DeShong is a 2011 RHP/OF with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Niceville, FL who attends Niceville HS. Medium lean build, some physical projection. Compact arm action, high 3/4's release, limited lower half use, 75-77 mph FB, mostly straight, locates FB well, CB was sweeping/rolling break, nice feel for change up, mixes things up and pitches. Has hitting ability, rotational swing, good bat speed, lift in swing, drove the ball well, has power potential with more strength. Good student.
