Logan Wyeth is a 6'0/185 2005 right handed hitting catcher from Driftwood, TX, with above average body life and very good running speed for the position. We especially liked Wyeth’s defensive ability. His athletic ability gives him plus agility behind the plate, and he had an aggressive, hustling attitude about playing the position. His arm strength is a bit short, but Wyeth made very accurate throws both in workouts and in game situations and threw out runners. Offensively, Wyeth hits out of a slightly open stance with low hands and flies open early in his swing. He swings hard and generates some good bat speed with some loft extension. This isn’t a high average type swing, but will probably hit his share of home runs with metal. Definitely a DI type catcher and Logan is a good student.
