Justin Posner is a very young 2007 switch hitting catcher from Illinois. His raw physical tools, such as his foot speed and arm strength are still developing, but you can see that he has good fundamentals and works hard at the game. The best part of Posner’s game right now is probably his swing from the right side. He hits with high hands, but gets a good load and has a nice smooth, line drive swing that will start driving the ball when he gets stronger. Posner’s left handed swing didn’t have the same type of bat speed or rhythm to it. Defensively, Posner showed some quickness in his release and was very accurate with his throws. It's still too early to call, but Justin has a chance to develop into a very good prospect.
