Jonathan Bernetskie is a 2006 OF/1B from San Pasqual HS, residing in Escondido, CA, with a 6'4", 190 lb. frame. He has long levers and an excellent baseball build; long with strength. Bernetskie hits from a square stance and has a leverage type of swing that projects very good future power potential. He has good bat speed, the ball exits his bat well and his hands have life in them, all indicators of future power potential. Currently the ball carries well off his bat and he does have noticeable present day power, but it is the future power that is most intriguing. Bernetskie is a solid, average defensive player in the outfield. He sets up to the ball well and is in good position to throw. He makes low arc throws and creates good momentum to and through the ball. Bernetskie should be a strong spring follow due to his body and bat. He is a good player to follow for draft and follow consideration.
