Laster took his 6 foot 1 and 160 pound frame to the mound and the outfield and proved that he has some 2-way potential. He showed a fast arm and 82-84 mph fastball getting lots of help from his body. Coming from a three quarters arm slot he showed a 71-72 mph curve and a potentially effective 73 mph change-up. He didn't have complete control of the curveball yet, but showed that he can spin one. In the field he showed that arm strength by touching 86 mph from the outfield and he swings the bat just as hard. He took himself a little off balance with the swing and produced some pop ups, but he showed some power potential in the bat. He runs close to MLB average. He has more filling out to do and we project him to gain strength over the next couple years.
