Ford Wilson is a 2010 OF/P with a 5'9'', 155 lb. frame from Thompson Station, TN who attends Independence HS. He has a smaller frame and lean, young build. Wilson is a very sound fundamental player both offensively and defensively and it will just be a matter of seeing if he gets stronger and faster. He has clean actions in the outfield, with good footwork and a smooth arm. He might be choking the ball a bit when he throws. Offensively, Wilson has a balanced set up with a good hand set up and good direction through the ball. He has some late lift in his swing and hit a few well to the middle of the field. He stays on the ball well and makes good contact. Wilson also pitched a bit and threw 71 mph off the mound and threw strikes. Wilson plays hard and hustles everywhere. He should keep improving and play as high as his tools allow him. He is also a good student.
