Darrin Ehman is a 2029 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Pittsburgh, PA who attends Penn Hills High School. A strong, sturdy 2029 prospect with physical presence and intriguing upside. Defensively, behind the dish, he shows a solid foundation. He works from a one-knee setup at times and gets out of the crouch well with good direction toward the bag. The arm strength stands out, showing good zip on throws with carry. His pop-time best was a 2.06. The tools are there for him to continue developing into a reliable backstop. Offensively, he is a left-handed hitter with a wider, inline base and high handset. He incorporates a quick lower-half move and shows the ability to get the barrel on plane. When timed up, he can drive the baseball with pull-side gap power and flashes of juice. There are promising pieces in the swing, and his strength suggests continued offensive growth. Excellent student. Named to the 2026 PG Virginia Showcase Top Prospect List.
