PG Grade: 10
Jake Rasner is a big tall lean RHP from Reno, NV. Rasner’s pitching mechanics are still developing but there’s no mistaking his pro style body and arm strength. He threw a consistent 90-91 mph fastball at Tropicana and had some sharpness to a 76 mph curveball. He has a good fast arm with very little effort and tension. He could easily turn into a mid 90s guy in the future. His heater showed running life and he broke a few bats in Tropicana Field. He is big and strong and gets a lot of rotational force out of his hips. He will get scouts excited if they see him at his best. He has good bloodlines and he has Big League potential written all over him. Jake is a very good student.
