2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (28-29 Grads)
Cooper Colwell is a 2029 OF/RHP/UT with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Glendale, AZ who attends Sandra Day O'Connor. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projectability remaining. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance, rotational swing mechanics, has loose hands and some hand speed, mostly pull side line drive contact, showed a good feel for the barrel. 7.06 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has long and athletic strides to the ball and works through it well, long and deep arm action creates some inconsistency with his accuracy, has promising young arm strength, projects well on the grass. Set up slightly side saddle behind the plate, has quick hands and a low transfer with a long arm action, athleticism shows with developing fundamentals. Also worked out in the infield. Took a turn on the mound, works from a side step delivery with an over the top arm slot, slow and methodical delivery that he repeats well, gets downhill and arm works well. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's and topped out at 81 mph and was located well, also threw a softer mid-60's curveball.
