2025 PG Mid-Atlantic Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Andrew Chester is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Holbrook, NY who attends Sachem East. Strong athletic build. Works from a fast paced delivery with a high and compact leg raise start, longer arm takeaway in back with a high 3/4's arm slot, repeated his arm action and release well. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph with some arm side life at times, pounded the zone with his fastball. Showed less consistency with a mid 60's curveball that flashed 11/5 shape and some depth. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread and slightly closed stance with a toe tap trigger, rotational swing mechanics with good strength at contact, got the barrel to the ball on times consistently with hard line drive contact. Good student.
